行李与快乐Luggage & Happiness
有个富翁背着一包包的金银珠宝去远方寻找快乐。A rich man was bearing bags of jewelry traveling far to seek for happiness.
奈何，走遍了千山万水，还是没有找到。Unfortunately, after a long journey he still could not find the happiness.
一天，他愁眉不展地坐在路边叹息，一位衣衫褴褛的农夫愉悦地唱着山歌走了过来，富人见状便起身趋前向他讨教快乐的秘诀。One day, he sat beside the road sighing sadly. A shabbily dressed farmer was singing joyfully passing by. The rich man then approached him to ask for the secret of being happy.
农夫笑嘻嘻地说：“哪里有什么秘诀？快乐其实再简单不过了，只要你把背负的东西放下就可以。”The farmer laughed away: “Where got secret? It’s too simple for being happy. You just have to unload the things you are bearing on your shoulders.”
富人恍然大悟，暗自忖量：“我驮着那么沉重的行李，被压的腰酸背疼，而且住店怕偷，行路惧抢，成天忧心忡忡，惊魂不定，怎么能快乐得起来呢？”The rich man suddenly got enlightened and he thought to himself: “I am shouldering such a heavy baggage and being badly overwhelmed. Moreover, I am afraid of being stolen while staying at the hotel and fearing of getting robbed en route. I keep worrying and bothering, no wonder I could not be happy!”
于是，他放下包袱，把钱财分派给过路的穷人。So he put down the burdens and distributed the wealth to the poor passersby.
这样一来，不仅背上的重担消失了，还看到一张张欢欣的笑脸，他终于成为一个快乐的人。Because of this, not only the burdens disappeared he also saw many joyous faces around. He finally becomes a happy man.
人生旅程中，我们背负的行李实在太多了。During our journey of life, we are shouldering too much luggage.
殊不知，过多的行李可是一种累赘呀！Do you realize that having excessive luggage is a sort of over-burdening?
很多时候，不是快乐离我们太远，而是当中隔着一道欲望的深渊；不是快乐太难，而是我们活得不够简单。Most of the times happiness is not too far away from us but been separated by an abyss of desire. Not that being happy is too hard but we are not living our lives simply enough.
人真正需要的并不多；想要的却是车载斗量。What we really need is not much while what we want is awfully too much.
古人曰：“不贪则不贫；不奢则不乏。”Ancient sage said: “No greed no lacking. Wastes not then wants not.”
贪婪使人感觉有所欠缺，以致不断向外求取索要。Greed causes us feel of lacking and results in continuous demanding for more outwardly.
快乐其实是一种心境，一种安身立命的结果。Happiness is in fact a state of mind and it is the outcome of keeping equilibrium of body and soul.
听天命，尽人事。。。人若晓得上天托付自身的使命，就能够在物质文明发展与精神文明建设之间达到一个平衡点，活出生命真实的价值。Following the commandments of God and striving for success… If one knows the mission God has entrusted to him then he would be able to maintain a balance between the developments of material and spiritual civilization. Thus live out the true values of life.
知命而不迷惑；顺命则不忧虑。。。乐天知命，故无惑无忧！Knowing the purpose of life will clear off the confusion and obeying the instructions of God leads to care-freeness.
